Today is the first day of the #100DaysofDevelopment challenge that I set for myself. I went to the gym, made progress on my game dev course, and uploaded some content. The goal is to be consistent. I do good today but I want to boost my productivity tomorrow. I will be putting together a weekly schedule so I can have more structure within each day, that way I'll be able to wake up and get right to work.
I am studying the Unity game engine. It's lightweight, relatively easy to grasp, and does what I need it to do for now. Once I get more comfortable with programming I'll be able to push the engine to its limits and see what I can create with it. I have a lot of ideas. As I'm sure most people do. Though I can't seem to shake mines. I think about them nonstop. It got to the point where I don't even enjoy playing video games like I used to because I'm constantly thinking about what most video games are lacking nowadays. But that's something I'll touch on another day.
Blogging and documenting my progress will be a focal point for me for the next few months. I want to show the world what I've got. I know I can make great things, I just need to learn the technical skills. My creativity and drive are there. Now it's time to start executing my ideas. Working on my skills and building a portfolio so I can apply for game development/web development jobs. I'll talk more about web dev later on though. I'm focused on finishing my Unity Course for now then I'll go from there. Till next time.
